Free Online Blackjack Tips

For free online blackjack game the rules are the same as for the off-land blackjack. We present to your attention a set of tips with help of which you will master the game and be able to play for money and win.

Splitting

  • Always split a pair of Aces. In a 52-card deck, there are 16 cards with a value of ten and you are very likely to hit 21 with one of them if you split your aces. Anytime you can increase the chance of a higher payout, do so.
  • Split 8’s.With a hard 16 hand you are very likely to bust or to be beaten by the dealer. You have more chance to profit if you have two hands valued at eight.
  • Never split 10s since it is far more profitable to keep your hand value at 20.
  • Split 6s if the dealer has 6 or less.
  • Split 7s, 3s and 2s if the dealer has 7 or less.
  • Never split 5s or 4s.
  • Split 9s if the dealer has 9 or less.

Hit / Stand

  • Hit hard until you reach 17 or more, never hit a hand with a value over 17 (but hit soft 18 if the dealer has 10). If you have a soft 17 (one of your cards is an ace), hit again. Any other hand needs to stand.
  • Always hit a hand of 11 or less. Your hand can only improve. If you have a hand of 12, things get trickier, but if your hand is 11 or less, hit without any doubt.
  • It is a good idea to ‘Hit’ when you have a 16, even if the dealer has a 7 through to Ace as a face up card. You’ll see how many times you’ll get a 4 or 5 card versus a higher card or face up card. This is a strategic defensive move.
  • Stand on two 9’s even if the dealer has a 7 as his face up card. You see, the dealer must stand on 17 in most cases even if it is a Soft 17 (depending on the casino rules). So, if the dealer gets a 10 valued card, you automatically win.
  • You should stand with cards that have a total of 13, 14, 15 and 16 when the dealer is showing 6 or lower. When your cards equal 12 you should stand when the dealer has a 4, 5 or a 6.

Doubling Down

  • Double Down on a soft 18 when the dealers face up card is a 6.
  • Always double on 11 unless the dealer has an 11 (Ace) up.
  • Double your 10 against dealer’s 9 or lower and double with any hand of 11.
  • Always double on 9 unless the dealer has a 7 or higher up.
  • Always double Ace and a 6 or Ace and a 7 if the dealer has 3, 4, 5 or 6 up.
  • Always double Ace and a 4 or Ace and a 5 if the dealer has 4, 5 or 6 up.
